This is an English translation of the German privacy policy (Datenschutzerklärung), provided for your convenience. In case of any discrepancy, the German version prevails.

2. Overview

This privacy policy informs you about which personal data is processed when you visit this website and when you send an enquiry, for what purpose, on what legal basis and for how long. Personal data is any information that can be used to identify you personally, for example your name, email address or IP address.

4. Hosting with Hostinger

This website is hosted by Hostinger. The provider is Hostinger International Ltd., 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus. Hostinger processes on my behalf all data that arises when the website is accessed and when the enquiry form is used. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Hostinger.

For faster delivery, Hostinger uses its own content delivery network (CDN). The content of this website is delivered via Hostinger servers that are as close as possible to your location; the access data listed below is also generated there.

Each time the website is accessed, the server automatically stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser transmits:

This data is not merged with other data sources. The processing serves to deliver the website, to detect errors and to ensure the security of the server, for example to defend against attacks. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in secure and functional operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The log files are stored by Hostinger and deleted after the retention period provided for there; Hostinger does not state a fixed period. I myself only have access to the access data of the last seven days for evaluation. Longer storage only takes place to the extent necessary to investigate a specific security incident.

Hostinger operates data centres in the EU, among other places. If data is transferred to countries outside the EU in individual cases, this is done on the basis of the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission. Further information can be found in Hostinger’s privacy policy.

5. Encryption

For security reasons, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” in the address bar of your browser and by the lock symbol. Data you send via the enquiry form therefore cannot be read by third parties.

6. Fonts and content

The fonts used on this website and all images are stored on my own server and are loaded from there. When the website is accessed, no connection is established to Google Fonts or other external font providers.

The links to Instagram, Facebook and YouTube in the footer and the link to my reviews on Google are simple links. Only when you click on such a link do you reach the site of the respective provider. The respective provider is responsible for the data processing there.

7. Enquiry form

If you send me an enquiry via the form, I process the details you provide there:

I need this information to answer your enquiry, to check my availability and, where applicable, to make you an offer. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, as the enquiry serves to prepare a contract. For general enquiries, the legal basis is my legitimate interest in answering them (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

The form is processed on Hostinger’s server and sent to my mailbox as an email. My email mailbox is also provided by Hostinger. The enquiry is not stored on the website itself. To protect against spam, I use a hidden field that only automated programs fill in. No captcha and no external spam protection service is used.

The enquiry remains in my email mailbox until it has been dealt with. If no contract is concluded, I delete it after 12 months at the latest, because couples often book only after a longer period of consideration. If a contract is concluded, the statutory retention periods apply (see section 13).

8. Contact by email, phone and WhatsApp

If you contact me by email, phone or WhatsApp, I process your details (for example name, phone number, email address and the content of your message) in order to deal with your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if it concerns a booking, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

WhatsApp is a service of WhatsApp Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland, which belongs to the Meta group. Messages are end-to-end encrypted. However, WhatsApp receives metadata (such as phone number, time and device data), which may also be transferred to the USA. The use of WhatsApp is voluntary. You can always reach me by email or phone as well. More information can be found in WhatsApp’s privacy policy.

9. Video calls with Google Meet

For introductory and planning calls I use Google Meet. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. If you take part in a video call, the data required for this is processed, such as name, email address, IP address, device and connection data as well as image and sound during the call. I do not record calls.

You can choose the time for a call via the appointment booking of Google Calendar. It is linked on this website. On the page that appears after an enquiry has been sent, and on the English-language page, the calendar can additionally be displayed directly. It is only loaded there when you click on “Show calendar” (“Kalender anzeigen” on the German page); in doing so, technical data such as your IP address is transmitted to Google. When you book, Google processes the details you enter there, such as name and email address.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, as the calls serve the preparation and performance of the contract. Data may also be transferred to the USA in the process. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission has issued an adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR). 10. Cookies and consent

Cookies are small text files that your browser stores on your device. Of its own accord, this website only sets one technically necessary entry in order to store your consent decision (see below). Further cookies and comparable technologies are only used by the advertising services described in sections 11 and 12, and only if you have agreed in the consent banner.

Without your consent, the scripts of Google and OpenAI are not loaded. I store your decision in your browser so that the banner does not appear again every time a page is accessed. This storage is technically necessary (Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

You can withdraw or change your consent at any time with effect for the future by opening the cookie settings again via the corresponding link in the footer of the website. In addition, you can delete or block cookies in your browser.

11. Google Ads and conversion tracking

I place advertisements via Google Ads and use Google’s conversion tracking to measure how successful these advertisements are. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

If you reach my website via a Google ad and have given your consent, Google sets a cookie (for example “_gcl_au”, storage period up to 90 days). If you subsequently send an enquiry, Google and I recognise that someone has made an enquiry after clicking on an ad (a so-called conversion). A conversion is also measured when you open the appointment booking on this website. I only receive statistical evaluations and do not learn who you are.

In particular, the following data may be processed: IP address, identifiers of ad clicks and cookies, information about browser and device, pages accessed as well as date and time. If you are logged in to a Google account, Google can link this data to your account and evaluate it across devices. Google may also use the data for its own purposes, for example to personalise advertising.

I use Google Consent Mode. It ensures that Google’s tags take your consent decision into account. Without consent, the Google scripts are not loaded on this website.

The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG), which you can withdraw at any time. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision pursuant to Art. 45 GDPR). You can additionally deactivate personalised advertising from Google in Google’s ad settings.

12. OpenAI Measurement Pixel (ChatGPT ads)

I also place advertisements in ChatGPT and use the OpenAI Measurement Pixel to measure whether a click on such an ad leads to an enquiry or to the appointment booking being opened. The entity responsible for processing by OpenAI in the European Economic Area is OpenAI Ireland Limited, 1st Floor, The Liffey Trust Centre, 117–126 Sheriff Street Upper, Dublin 1, D01 YC43, Ireland.

If you have given your consent, a script is loaded from OpenAI’s servers (bzrcdn.openai.com). It stores two cookies on your device:

For certain events, for example when a page is accessed, an enquiry is sent or the appointment booking is opened, the pixel transmits to OpenAI (bzr.openai.com) in particular: the type of event, date and time, the page accessed, the identifiers mentioned as well as technical data such as IP address and browser information. I do not transmit to OpenAI any content from the enquiry form such as your name, your email address or your phone number. OpenAI can assign the data to your ChatGPT account if you are logged in there and clicked on the ad in ChatGPT. I only receive statistical evaluations.

The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG), which you can withdraw at any time. Without consent, the pixel is not loaded. OpenAI also transfers personal data to the USA and relies on adequacy decisions and standard contractual clauses of the European Commission for this. 13. Storage period

I store personal data only for as long as is necessary for the respective purpose, or for as long as you have given your consent. After that it is deleted, unless statutory retention obligations prevent this. Data from bookings (for example contracts, offers, invoices and business emails) is generally kept for six to ten years in accordance with commercial and tax law (Section 147 of the German Fiscal Code, AO; Section 257 of the German Commercial Code, HGB).

You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). 15. Obligation to provide data and automated decisions

You are not obliged to provide me with personal data. Without the required details in the enquiry form, however, I cannot process your enquiry. Automated decision-making including profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR is not carried out by me.

I adapt this privacy policy when the website, the services used or the legal situation change. The version published here at any given time applies.
